Fix Attention on Annie Duke

Annie Duke mightn’t have came away with her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but she is still one of the most powerful poker players around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Sin City. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "young crowd" of poker go berserk following a big success at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mum" to her 4 kids. She was born in NH and was raised into a family of card players. If you do not accept that, have a look at her brother, Howard Lederer, in action, Howard taught her how-to compete in the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has captured her cut of difficult games, including eliminating Howard a few times on several occasions.

Winning well over $3 million in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to build up his abilities and become a power player at the poker table.

You might run into Annie at the Bellagio, you will see her on the television and you might just even compete with her in a web poker game, but don’t bank on a simple win. Unless you’re a up and coming master, you will not beat her. although, it is likely to be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
