Poker Aces – how to play them

Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt before theflop. It’s the best possible pre-flop hand intexas hold’em Poker. But despite this a good many players find themselves on the wrong end when given this hand.

When you’re dealt a set of Aces, you just do not drop out pre-flop. You are sitting with the greatest possible hand at this stage of the game. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I’d say no to that.

Bear in mind, you are trying to generate as much profit out of this strong position. You need to maximize the possibility. Going all-in will actually drive most players into folding without laying a wager.

If you are in the starting position (first or second to place a bet), you will place a single wager. Any person with a decent hand will call, with hope someone will raise. If someone has made a raise don’t hop to re-raise or call, wait for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

After the flop your strategy will be to get rid of any player that could get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise aggressively, if you are fortunate you will trick 1 player into believing that you’re bluffing.

If you are in the center or late position (near the last to bet) you will watch as every player calls and then raise. Even though you’re sitting with a pair of aces, if you can try to avoid a show-down. Protect your hand by making the other players drop out following the flop. If you don’t abolish your competitors you chance losing your hand.
